Research Associate / Sr. Res. Associate, Quantitative Biology
As a Quantitative Biology Research Associate / Senior Research Associate, you will join a small, highly dynamic team. You will assume significant responsibility for protein biochemistry efforts investigating mechanisms of cancer and immunology to drive drug discovery. Your job will involve establishing new methods of protein expression, purification and characterization. There will be opportunities to explore biochemical and cellular assay development, laboratory automation and robotics. You will contribute during lab meetings and assist in the analysis and reporting of experimental data to project teams.
The successful candidate will have a B.S. or M.S. in Biochemistry or a related discipline and at least four years’ experience in an industrial or academic setting. Previous industrial experience would be advantageous. Proficiency in protein expression (prokaryotic and/or eukaryotic systems), protein purification, protein engineering and molecular biology are required. Experience in cell culture, cell-based assays or protein-based assays is desirable. Above all, we are looking for someone with a record of strong achievements coupled with an enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn. The role demands a highly goal-driven approach and the ability to focus on time-sensitive objectives.
